Scissors – Who invented scissors? What were early scissors made of? Is there more than one type of scissors?
Scissors have been around for quite a long time now. They were invented sometime between 3000 to 4000 years ago in Mesopotamia, when blades connected by a metal handle were already being used. But steel scissors with the blades attached by a pivot, as we know today, were first manufactured on a larger scale in 1761 by Robert Hinchliffe.
