Let the Learning Begin: Handheld Devices | Digital Learning Environments
“I asked my students a few questions and had them make some choices. I set up stations that included viewing images, watching video clips and sharing responses. I provided them the choice of using the netbooks or their own hand held device. Overwhelmingly, 70% said yes – some did not have the devices to use and some said they wanted to try it out first. Furthermore, when I gave a quiz, students said as long as the response was around a paragraph that typing on their phone was not a big deal.”
